About the Instructor
Richard Tyler is The Possibility Architect; best selling author, International speaker, coach and provocateur. His first book, Jolt, published by Wiley, hit the bookshelves globally in April 2015 reaching the Amazon No 1 spot on the first day!
Richard’s mission is simple: to disrupt and provoke the way that organisations think, as being good is no longer good enough. Companies need to be Extraordinary in order to be successful. For over 10 years, Richard and his BTFI team have been pioneers of Artful Leadership - blending psychology, the arts and leadership to jolt clients to become innovative and lead their industries, inviting them to look at their challenges through a very different lens. These include CISCO, JP Morgan, HSBC, Barclaycard, John Lewis Partnership. Co-op, and the NHS.
Richard dreamed of performing on stage from an early age and went on to play lead roles in many of London's West End productions such as Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera. Having sung in concert halls across the globe, performed with some of the most extraordinary musicians, sang for royalty and appeared in TV commercials, he started to really understand how to deliver ‘Extraordinary Performances’ consistently… something that executive teams are striving for daily.
Richard is sought after as an Executive coach and works with clients across the globe either face to face or over Skype. Richard is a behavioural psychologist and a qualified Cognitive Hypnotherapist, NLP Master Practitioner and Trainer and a CB therapist. He has studied Emotional Intelligence, Spiral Dynamics and Provocative Therapy. He is a licensed practitioner of the Barrett Values CTT and Harrison Assessment tool.
His style combines tough love, provocation, challenge and fun. He brings many techniques and models directly from the world of theatre, music and performance that help his clients make massive step changes. Richard works across multiple sectors, including public sector, finance, retail, law and technology, predominantly working with middle/senior management up to Board/CEO.
Only the brave will work with Richard. Those that like to remain comfortable and want a coach that will collude with them are advised to look elsewhere. Those that are curious to reach a level of extraordinary will enjoy the jolt!
